Understanding how CAPTCHA works
As part of the regulations on the protection of personal data (RGPD) and to protect you from fraudulent use of your form, an invisible CAPTCHA is used.
CAPTCHA is a test that allows to differentiate an action performed by a human user from one performed by a robot.
The distinctive feature of invisible CAPTCHA is that it automatically checks, without any visual interaction, whether the user is a human or a robot.
If suspicious behavior is detected, a CAPTCHA question is displayed before the payment page. The buyer must answer the question to continue the transaction.
This question can be asked in the form of a CAPTCHA text or icon.
The buyer has a choice when answering the CAPTCHA question. By default, the user is presented with a text CAPTCHA, but can choose to respond by selecting an icon CAPTCHA.
In the data collection form displayed in the payment path, a Security check section appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen:
- The buyer must copy the series of text/numbers provided to them into the required field.
- If the submitted text/number series is difficult to read, the buyer can click Try another text to generate another series.
- If the buyer prefers a more visual response, they can click Select icons. In this case, a selection instruction will then be displayed. Example: Select a whiteboard, etc.
- The buyer must Validate and, above all, give a valid answer before being able to access the payment page.
