In PRODUCTION mode, if your Buyer gets an error message such as:

An error occurred during the payment request, please make sure that the posted parameters match the ones specified in the documentation.

It becomes impossible to make the payment and the transaction is definitively lost.

You will receive an e-mail notification containing the form that the gateway was unable to process and the value of the invalid field.

We invite you to check the following reason(s) to resolve the issue:

Your MID does not support payments by token via PayPal

Your payment is a payment by token via PayPal and your MID does not authorize it.

Therefore, your payment request will be rejected.

To resolve the issue:

  • Ask your PayPal account manager to check whether the "Reference Transactions" option is enabled for your MID.
  • From your Merchant Back Office, open the menu Settings > Company and click on the Merchant IDs tab.
  • Select your PayPal or PayPal Sandox MID.
  • In the Authorization management view, click the Give token permission button to authorize the payment gateway to automatically direct recurring payments to your PayPal account.
