Managing the 3DS preference in the payment orders
Under PSD2, the merchant can express their choice regarding cardholder authentication.
See the chapter Can I express my choice or disable authentication? for more information.
A new configuration section has been added in the payment order creation: “3D Secure preference for card payment”.
To have access, your shop must have a 3DS v2 contract and at least one of the “Frictionless 3DS2” features.
This section is smaller by default. By unfolding it, you can change your 3D Secure preference.
It is recommended to edit the default value with caution.
An incorrect preference may result in loss of liability shift to the issuer in the event of a chargeback.

By default, the choice of the preference is transferred to the card issuer (No Preference).
The available combinations depend on the shop options. For example, authentication without buyer interaction (Frictionless) is only available if the shop has the “Frictionless 3DS2” option.
For each preference, you can get help by clicking the “?” symbol.
